Samenvatting

Basiszorg is een algemeen begrip dat van toepassing is op alle mensen die zorg nodig hebben. Het overstijgt specifieke ziektebeelden en vindt overal plaats, ongeacht de zorgsetting (bijvoorbeeld thuis, ziekenhuis of in het verpleeghuis). Basiszorg betreft onder andere zorg voor persoonlijke verzorging en hygiƫne, aankleden, eten en drinken, mobiliteit, continentie, activiteiten, veiligheid en communicatie.
