Snurken en slaapapneu zijn de belangrijkste aandoeningen binnen het spectrum van de ‘slaapgebonden ademhalingsstoornissen’. Dit hoofdstuk beschrijft de definities, de pathofysiologie en epidemiologie en gaat daarnaast in op de klinisische presentaties van verschillende aandoeningen. Ook komen behandelingsopties aan bod. Speciale aandacht gaat uit naar het slaapapneu/hypopneusyndroom (SAHS).
