Samenvatting

Een traumatische nagelluxatie (nail plate avulsion) is een afwijkende nagelstand ten gevolge van een uitwendig trauma. Ten gevolge van het trauma kan een luxatiestand van de nagel naar volair (vinger) of plantair (teen) optreden, waarbij de nagel een hoek vormt met het nagelbed. De nagel kan ook onder het eponychium (nagelriem) vandaan luxeren. Een nagelluxatie kan onderdeel zijn van een topletsel, maar kan ook op zichzelf aanwezig zijn.
