Samenvatting

Wielrennen bestaat uit verschillende disciplines en wordt op verschillende niveaus uitgeoefend door zowel mannen als vrouwen. In dit hoofdstuk zal specifiek worden ingegaan op een aantal disciplines binnen het wielrennen: baanwielrennen, wegwielrennen, mountainbiken en veldrijden. Daarnaast zullen de volgende doelgroepen de revue passeren: vrouwen, jeugd en jongeren, masters, en aangepaste sporters. Verder zullen we stilstaan bij de lichamelijke belasting van etappewedstrijden waarbij de Tour de France als voorbeeld zal dienen.
