Samenvatting
Psoriasis is een niet-besmettelijke huidaandoening, die bij bijna 2% van de Nederlandse bevolking voorkomt en die wordt gekenmerkt door rode en witschilferende plekken. In de opperhuid is er bij psoriasis sprake van een te snelle celdeling (hyperproliferatie) en een onvolledige uitrijping van de cellen; in de lederhuid wordt een steriele ontstekingsreactie gezien.
