Samenvatting

Nu er steeds meer totale knieprothesen worden geïmplanteerd, neemt ook het aantal revisieoperaties toe. Een revisieoperatie is lastiger en riskanter dan een primaire operatie. In dit hoofdstuk wordt uitgelegd wanneer een revisieoperatie nodig is, wat de problemen zijn die men tijdens zo’n operatie tegenkomt en wat de consequenties zijn voor het type prothese dat men hiervoor kiest.
