Dit hoofdstuk beschrijft een patiënt met spontaan ontstane mediale kniepijn. De man heeft een vrij zeldzame auto-immuunaandoening waarvoor hij medicijnen gebruikt. De symptomen zijn verwarrend en kunnen wijzen op verschillende pathologieën.
