In dit hoofdstuk worden de specifieke aspecten van suïcidaal gedrag bij jongeren belicht. Ouderlijke betrokkenheid is onontbeerlijk, zowel bij de diagnostiek als bij de interventies ten behoeve van de veiligheid en bij de vervolgbehandeling. Juridische aspecten zijn daarvoor geen belemmering.
