Samenvatting
Voor kinderen met een posttraumatische stressstoornis (ptss) zijn ‘evidence-based’ interventies beschikbaar. Om deze interventies efficiënt en effectief in te zetten is diagnostiek met betrouwbare en valide meetinstrumenten noodzakelijk. Daarom was het doel van de huidige studie om de Nederlandse versie van de Clinician-Administered ptsd Scale for Children and Adolescents (caps-ca) te valideren. Hiervoor zijn 112 kinderen in de leeftijd van 8 tot 18 jaar bij twee traumacentra gerekruteerd. Naast de caps-ca zijn verschillende vragenlijsten en een diagnostisch interview bij kinderen en ouders afgenomen. De Nederlandse versie van de caps-ca laat een even goede interne consistentie, interbeoordelaars betrouwbaarheid, convergente en divergente validiteit zien als de originele Engelse versie. Vergelijkbaar met de originele Engelse versie zijn de psychometrische eigenschappen voor kinderen ouder dan 13 jaar beter dan voor kinderen jonger dan 13. De Nederlandse caps-ca is even valide en betrouwbaar als de originele Engelse versie.
