Samenvatting
Shock is een plotseling optredend onvoldoende functioneren van de bloedsomloop door verminderde vaatvulling. Naar verhouding wordt er te weinig bloed door het hart in het vaatstelsel gepompt. Deze levensbedreigende situatie kan de dood tot gevolg hebben. Het is dan ook noodzakelijk direct te handelen en een arts te waarschuwen.
