Samenvatting
Afwijkingen van het scrotum kunnen berusten op zeer onschuldige aandoeningen, zoals een hydrokèle, varicokèle of spermatokèle, maar ook op spoedeisende of levensbedreigende aandoeningen, zoals een torsio testis, traumatische ruptuur of fourniergangreen. Het is daarom van belang om onderscheid te kunnen maken tussen de onschuldige en de spoedeisende afwijkingen, en de patiënt zo nodig naar de uroloog te verwijzen.
