Inleiding
In dit hoofdstuk worden de ziektebeelden op het gebied van de de antimicrobiële therapie op een beknopte, heldere wijze behandeld door een vakexpert, huisarts en apotheker; de beste combinatie om de klinische relevantie voor de huisartsenpraktijk te waarborgen. Het hoofdstuk is heel schematisch opgebouwd met tabellen voor de belangrijkste infecties per orgaan(systeem), zoals darminfecties, huidinfecties, urinweginfecties. Enkele specifieke infecties, zoals sepsis, endocarditis, meningitis en hepatitis worden apart besproken. Het hoofdstuk sluit af met een synoniemenlijst van alle antimicrobiële middelen.
