Abstract
Veel organisaties in de gezondheidszorg zijn voortgekomen uit particulier initiatief. Het bestuur van deze organisaties bestond doorgaans uit een aantal vrijwilligers. De dagelijkse leiding lag meestal in handen van een directie, die verantwoording aflegde aan het bestuur.
