Samenvatting

Neurocognitieve veranderingen komen vrij frequent voor bij personen met multipele sclerose (MS). Hoewel deze veranderingen doorgaans beperkt en subtiel van aard zijn, kunnen ze de levenskwaliteit behoorlijk aantasten. Inzicht in de neurocognitieve functies en typische stoorfactoren van MS en kennis van sensitieve cognitieve tests zijn noodzakelijk om tot een goede diagnose en aanpak van MS-gerelateerde cognitieve stoornissen te komen.

De informatie in dit hoofdstuk vormt voor clinici een waardevolle bijdrage om zicht te krijgen op het praktisch relevante handelen.
