Inleiding
Lagerugpijn en bekkenproblematiek is een domein waar veel fysiotherapeuten en kinesisten in België en Nederland dagelijks mee van doen hebben, hetzij als algemeen practicus, hetzij als verbijzonderd of gespecialiseerd fysiotherapeut. Desondanks bestaan er nog veel onduidelijkheden rondom de diagnostiek en behandeling van lagerugklachten. Het is dan ook niet verwonderlijk dat rugklachten door de jaren heen steevast onderwerp van wetenschappelijk onderzoek is geweest. Bijzonder daarbij is dat de onderzoeksagenda’s in België en Nederland verschillend, maar ook complementair zijn. In België ligt het accent vooral op fundamenteel onderzoek, terwijl in Nederland vooral klinisch onderzoek wordt uitgevoerd.
