Inleiding

Tijdens het manueel injecteren van een anestheticum zal de ene tandarts meer druk uitoefenen dan de andere. Wat voor de één traag is, is voor een ander snel. Mannelijke tandartsen zullen over het algemeen sneller injecteren dan vrouwelijke tandartsen. Het is bewezen dat als patiënten pijn of een onaangenaam gevoel rapporteren dit vooral te wijten is aan de druk die werd uitgeoefend tijdens het injecteren.
