Inleiding
De sensibele innervatie van de bovenkaak is afkomstig van de n.V2, de n. maxillaris. Deze hoofdtak van de n. trigeminus verlaat het neurocranium door het foramen rotundum, bereikt dan de fossa pterygopalatina en loopt rechtdoor als n. infraorbitalis en geeft in zijn verloop een groot aantal takken af.
