Inleiding
Acetylsalicylzuur (ASA) remt het enzym cyclo-oxygenase van de trombocyt binnen enkele minuten irreversibel en daarmee de aanmaak van tromboxaan-A2, een belangrijke activator van de trombocyt. Hiermee remt ASA de aggregatie van trombocyten en zo arteriële trombose. ASA heeft een aantal indicaties.
