Inleiding

Hematopoëtische stamceltransplantatie (HSCT) wordt voor twee doeleinden uitgevoerd:

  • om zieke of afwezige hematopoëtische cellen te vervangen door gezonde;

  • om een hogere dosis chemo- en/of radiotherapie (hoger dan een ‘conventionele’ dosis) te kunnen geven.
