Samenvatting
In dit hoofdstuk wordt ingegaan op de morbiditeit die optreedt bij patiƫnten met hoofd-halskanker. Met name schouderklachten komen vaak voor in deze groep en zijn afhankelijk van het type halsklierdissectie. Als de nervus accessorius wordt opgeofferd bij de halsklierdissectie, ontstaan vaak schouderklachten, maar ook als de nervus accessorius gespaard blijft, kunnen schouderklachten ontstaan. Schouderklachten bestaan uit pijn, mobiliteitsbeperkingen en functieverlies. Pijnklachten zijn onder te verdelen in neuropathische pijn en myogene pijn.
