Abstract

Sandra is anderhalf en het tweede kind van gezonde Nederlandse ouders. Ze heeft een gezond ouder broertje, Wim. De zwangerschap is zonder problemen verlopen en er was geen indicatie om prenatale diagnostiek te doen. Sandra werd geboren met een dubbelzijdige open lip, kaak en gehemelte! De schok voor de ouders en de familie was groot. Zoiets was nog nooit in de familie voorgekomen.
