Samenvatting
Het plaatsen van implantaten in een edentate onder- en bovenkaak voor de verankering van een overkappingsprothese of een vaste prothetische constructie is een betrouwbare procedure. Uit onderzoek is onder meer gebleken dat een door implantaten ondersteunde overkappingsprothese een meer bevredigende oplossing biedt met betrekking tot de tevredenheid en het subjectieve kauwvermogen dan een conventionele gebitsprothese.
