Samenvatting
Een stoornis in de aanmaak van erytrocyten manifesteert zich als bloedarmoede of anemie. Dit houdt in dat de hemoglobineconcentratie in het perifere bloed lager is dan de referentiewaarden die voor leeftijd en geslacht gelden. In de praktijk betekent dit dat bij mannen het hemoglobinegehalte lager is dan 8,0 mmol/l en bij vrouwen lager is dan 7,0 mmol/l (zie tabel 10.1).
