Inleiding

Een arts kan in zijn carrière geconfronteerd worden met een onverwacht overlijden van een kind. Dit is een emotionele situatie voor zowel ouders en familieleden als het gehele medisch team. Nadat goede medische hulp is verricht, is het echter belangrijk om ook in dit soort situaties de rust en kennis te hebben om dit tot een goed einde te brengen.
