Inleiding
Dit hoofdstuk beschrijft de medische aanpak van een vermoeden van een recent seksueel misbruik bij minderjarigen. Het lichamelijk onderzoek is hetzelfde als reeds beschreven in H. 12, inclusief het top-teenonderzoek. Het belangrijkste verschil is dat bij acute presentatie eventuele sporen veiliggesteld kunnen worden door middel van een forensisch onderzoek, zoals onderzoek naar DNA-sporen in en aan het lichaam, op kleding en op beddengoed. Het is in een acute situatie van groot belang om tijdig de juiste stappen te zetten als onderzoek naar DNA-sporen is aangewezen. Daarnaast is er de noodzaak om postexpositieprofylaxe tegen hiv , hepatitis B (HBV) , Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) en gonorroe te overwegen en om bij adolescente meisjes te beoordelen of en welke maatregelen nodig zijn om een eventuele zwangerschap te voorkomen.
