Abstract
Een 54-jarige vrouw heeft sinds enkele maanden gelige bultjes aan de handen (figuur 14.1). Zij is bij u bekend met diabetes mellitus type 2. Sedert de menopauze is zij langzaam in gewicht aangekomen. Zij heeft claudicatieklachten. Bij laboratoriumonderzoek is het totale cholesterolgehalte 8,5 mmol/l en het triglyceridengehalte 10,0 mmol/l.
