Samenvatting
Mevrouw Van de Wetering is 96 jaar oud. Zij gebruikt al tien jaar acenocoumarol in verband met atriumfibrilleren. Hiertoe is indertijd besloten omdat mevrouw Van de Wetering atriumfibrilleren had, acetylsalicylzuur als CVA-preventie gebruikte, maar desondanksnog steeds TIA’s doormaakte. Het ging daarna jarenlang heel goed met haar. Mevrouw Van de Wetering gaat nu echter achteruit. Ze is vermoeid en duizelig en valt daardoor regelmatig. Nader onderzoek brengt aan het licht dat ze een ernstige microcytaire anemie heeft.
