Allergie is de verzamelnaam voor reacties van het immuunsysteem op stoffen (allergenen) die normaal gesproken geen afweerreactie oproepen. Allergie onderscheidt zich van overgevoeligheid omdat bij allergie per definitie het immuunsysteem is betrokken.
