Samenvatting
Bepaling van arteriële bloedgassen speelt een belangrijke rol bij de analyse van stoornissen in het zuur-base-evenwicht, de oxygenatie en de ventilatie. Uiteraard dient de arteriële bloedgasanalyse altijd gezien te worden in de klinische context van de patiënt. De waarde van de bloedgasanalyse is in hoge mate afhankelijk van de kennis van de clinicus om het bloedgas adequaat te interpreteren.
