Samenvatting
Bij een cervixuitstrijkje worden epitheelcellen uit de overgangszone van de cervix afgenomen voor cytologisch onderzoek. Zo kunnen (pre)maligne afwijkingen van het cervixslijmvlies (cervixdysplasie en cervixcarcinoom) worden opgespoord.
