Samenvatting

Een 46-jarige man, van beroep vrachtwagenchauffeur, klaagde al enkele jaren over chronische pijn ter hoogte van de hypothenar van zijn rechterhand. Af en toe was er ook sprake van lokale zwelling. Vooral bij lage temperaturen was er een duidelijke witverkleuring van zijn ringvinger die dan ook tintelde. Volgens patiënt was er nooit een trauma geweest in de voorgeschiedenis, maar hij vertelde wel dat hij de gewoonte had de hendel van de laadklep van zijn vrachtwagen met zijn rechterhand dicht te slaan. Door de pijn kon hij deze handeling echter al geruime tijd niet meer uitvoeren
