Samenvatting
Voor pijnlijke menstruaties gebruikt men in de geneeskunde de term dysmenorroe. Pijn is echter een subjectief begrip. Het moment waarop de vrouw besluit een arts te raadplegen voor pijnlijke menses zal uiteraard voor elke patiënte verschillend zijn. Dit wordt bepaald door onder andere haar eigen pijndrempel, haar beleving van de menstruatie en ook het voorbeeldgedrag van haar omgeving.
