Samenvatting

Slechtziendheid op oudere leeftijd wordt nogal eens als een diagnose gezien in plaats van als een klacht. Men beschouwt het slechte zien als een fait accompli en niet als iets wat verder uitgezocht moet worden. Daarmee wordt de patiënt een goede behandeling, goede hulp of voorkomen van erger onthouden.
