Abstract

Evelien vertoont alle kenmerken van een depressieve stoornis: sombere stemming; verminderd plezier in het leven; sombere, soms suïcidale gedachten; slaapklachten; concentratie- en geheugenproblemen; functionele beperkingen; vermoeidheid; en schuldgevoelens. Dan krijgt ze cognitieve therapie, een vorm van psychotherapie die bewezen effectief is bij depressie. Ook Evelien knapt op nadat ze in cognitieve therapie is gegaan. Hoe komt dat?
