Abstract

Sascha wordt geboren na een zwangerschapsduur van dertig weken. Haar geboortegewicht is 1250 gram en er is sprake van een goede start. Enkele uren na de geboorte ontwikkelen zich ademhalingsproblemen, waarvoor ze wordt overgeplaatst naar een gespecialiseerd neonatologisch centrum, een uur rijden van de woonplaats van de ouders. Thuis moet veel worden geregeld: de vroegtijdige bevalling kwam onverwacht en er zijn nog twee kinderen in het gezin.
