Bij een trauma op het aangezicht kunnen letsels optreden van de weke delen, de tanden, de processus alveolaris en het kaakbot. In dit hoofdstuk komen voornamelijk de tandletsels aan de orde; kaaken aangezichtsfracturen worden in hoofdstuk 17 behandeld.
