Samenvatting

In de afgelopen decennia heeft tandheelkunde in de diergeneeskunde een enorme ontwikkeling doorgemaakt. Het wordt steeds duidelijker dat goede mondhygiëne en een gezond gebit erg belangrijk zijn voor het welzijn van het dier. Het grootste deel van het tandheelkundige werk in de diergeneeskunde bestaat nog altijd uit gebitsreiniging, maar ook behandelingen in andere tandheelkundige disciplines nemen gestaag in aantal toe.
