Samenvatting

Rookgedrag wordt door de Wereld Gezondheidsorganisatie (WHO) beschouwd als een epidemie waaraan jaarlijks veel mensen overlijden. Het CBS registreerde in 2007 dat er in Nederland ruim 28.000 mensen stierven aan drie sterk aan roken gerelateerde aandoeningen (longkanker: 9773 doden; ‘cara’: 6432 en ziekten van de kransvaten: 11.876 doden).
