Abstract

Lung involvement in systemic disease may be a manifestation of the underlying pathological process, a complication of the underlying disease, or related to treatment. In certain diseases, such as sarcoidosis or Wegener’s granulomatosis, lung involvement is a predominant feature where in others, such as Henoch-Schönlein purpura, it is only rarely present.
