Riassunto

L’estrazione in fase solida (SPE, solid-phase extraction) rappresenta attualmente la tecnica di preparazione del campione più nota e utilizzata per le analisi chimiche in diversi settori (clinico, ambientale, farmaceutico e, non ultimo, alimentare). Il processo di estrazione è basato sull’interazione degli analiti da estrarre, disciolti in una fase liquida (o talvolta gassosa), con una fase solida (adsorbente). Dopo un preliminare condizionamento dell’adsorbente, il processo di estrazione prevede generalmente una fase di caricamento del campione liquido (o passaggio del campione gassoso) e ritenzione degli analiti, seguita da una fase di eluizione con un opportuno solvente. Nel caso di campioni gassosi (per esempio nell’analisi di sostanze volatili) il desorbimento può essere effettuato anche per via termica.
