Nodular Regenerative Hyperplasia (NRH)
Benign micronodular transformation of liver parenchyma without fibrosis associated with wide spectrum of systemic diseases and drugs. It is usually clinically asymptomatic and is discovered incidentally during imaging or may present with cholestasis and portal hypertension.
Lobulated liver contour and portal hypertension imaging findings may be present. It may also present with pseudotumoral appearances demonstrating nodules of variable T1-weighted intensity that are T2 weighted hypointense and show variable enhancement. Confirmation with histology is required to differentiate from metastases.
