Abstract
Ductal adenocarcinoma is the most common primary malignancy of the pancreas, accounting for about 80 % of malignant pancreatic tumors. It is a highly aggressive tumor with an overall 5-year survival rate less than 5 %. Prognosis and treatment depend on whether the tumor is resectable or nonresectable, which mostly depends on the time of diagnosis.
