How to Interpret the Curves on the Ventilator Screen
Our personal opinion, reached without the support of data meeting the criteria for evidence-based medicine, is that monitoring the flow, pressure, and volume curves, at least in the first few hours of ventilation, is one of the keys to the success of NIV. The analysis of these signals in real time is particularly useful for evaluating the interaction between the patient and the machine.
