Riassunto
Il grande cambiamento della struttura demografica che è rappresentato prevalentemente dall’invecchiamento progressivo della popolazione, nei Paesi industrializzati è da ricercare nei progressi della scienza medica, nella riduzione della natalitá e mortalitá e nelle modificazioni sociali (es. scomparsa della famiglia allargata, famiglie monocomponenti, ecc.) che si affiancano a migliori condizioni socioeconomiche [1].
