Abstract
Sarcoidosis is a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown etiology that affects the lungs, salivary glands, eyes, lymph nodes, liver, heart, and in some cases other organs. Here, we describe two pediatric patients with sarcoidosis, in whom 18F-FDG–PET/CT served as a very useful molecular imaging method to assess disease activity.
