Cone Beam CT and 3D imaging

Abstract

In this chapter, the mainlines of a correct exam technique are described, e.g., patient preparation and patient positioning, giving a particular description to children’s management during the examination. Moreover, a refresh on theory about scanning parameters is provided through a “Focus on” box. In this way, it may be easier to understand the explanation of the exposure and geometrical parameters that must be used to reduce the radiation dose and to obtain a good quality of the images.
