Abstract

Pain in the hip, groin and buttock region can be related to a variety of conditions; it may be difficult to clinically differentiate pain originating from the hip from referred pain related to pathology outside of the joint. This chapter will discuss a variety of conditions of the groin and the pelvis external to the hip joint, and will discuss imaging modalities and findings associated with each condition.
