Abstract
Five-day-old tadpoles (stage 47) are approxi-mately 12 mm long. All sense organs are now well differentiated. External gills have regressed and the internal ones are protected by an oper¬culum. The cement gland, now unpigmented, is in regression (Fig. 40).
