Negli ultimi vent’anni, anche sulla scorta della progressiva affermazione di modelli eziopatogenetici della schizofrenia come patologia del neurosviluppo, l’identificazione e il trattamento dei deficit cognitivi, già inclusi nelle prime concettualizzazioni della malattia a partire dalla descrizione kraepeliniana della dementia praecox, hanno rappresentato un argomento di specifico e crescente interesse.
