Abstract
Pre-excitation is an electrocardiographic pattern due to the presence of an accessory conducting pathway (AP) between the atrium and ventricle, so that, after atrial events all or part of the ventricular muscle can be activated sooner than if traveling only by the normal conduction system. In most cases, a direct AV by-pass tract with Kent properties is present [1].
